Here are a couple more, reflecting kind of a different philosophy, namely, paying more for less land and more location. These are 5 acre plots (close to other 5 acre plots) that get us closer to columbus and closer to lake and forests, for a higher price (25-30K) We could buy the land with the power line, for cheap. But we can spend the rest of our lives building on a piece of land and can't ever change which piece it is.
This one is partially wooded, right at the edge of Salt Fork Lake. 5 acres for 28k. Land looks like what we are looking for. This one has Aram's vote. It's around Kimbleton, which is a bit north on 71.

This one is 5 acres for 28k but it has a well and a 16 x 24 storage building. Also near Salt Fork lake.

This one is near 70, between Salt Lake and Piedmont. 30 k for 11 acres. Hm. Nicely wooded, good location, looks like a real possibility.

Another 5 acres for 30K, with great views. Kathy Pietro might be the person to talk to--she seems to have several nice ones in this area--farther north around New Phil but still 2 hrs from Cbus

Well it is hard to narrow it down without looking at the places. I think it is important that a few get chosen and then looked at to see if it really is the "right" place. Two things that stand out of the properties are more land (closer to 10ac) and woods. I really want at least some woods. # 6 below stands out to me as well as some of the ones above with less land and higher price. Sim
I like the first one you mentioned, by the lake, as well as the 11 acres, but I Sim said, it's hard to know without someone looking at it. I really hope Mom and Dad can make a property run this weekend. Also, the area around the Ulrichsville place that I looked at was very wild and beautiful.
Did the parents look at any places when they were out here?
